AKU Crestas.

So let me try and get my head around this, why pay as much if not more for a pair of non protective boots, fair doos a cheep pair of climbing boots for buzing about a tree with a silky but if you have spikes on you will be holding a chainsaw so should you not also have on ppe type boots??

 

Ps love my old salomon scrambaling boots for survay or hot day silky only climbing only wish they still made them as were under £70

So are these AKU Cresta comfy with spikes or not?

Inparticular, how is it with a ground saw hanging off your harness or is the sole of the boot a bit too soft for this type of work?

I currently wear Airstreams.

 

Crodas are great with spikes, even with a 660 on, and I'm sure the Crestas will be just as good.

 

They are much, much better value than any chainsaw protective boots IMO.

Don't know if anyone is interested, but I have a pair of the low cut Aku cresta gtx in black -size eu 45, that I am looking to sell for £60 + postage. Bought them last year, wore them a few times out and about, but not quite the right size. They are in perfect condition but without the original Aku box. Cheers Gents
