About once a month or every other month, both tree and pole resuce. The BIG bosses like to keep all the paper work in order etc for arb assocation as were 1 of 3 companys that hold it in leciester

I like to practice every three months or so. Tho I think I need to practice ground rescues as one of my groundsmen managed to lower a large lump of wood on top of him self trapping him. Luckily the only thing hurt was his pride.

Until the end of last year I hadn't practised an aerial rescue for 16years!

Then the firm I was with called in Chris Cooper-Abbs who ran a CS38 refresher for us.

 

Boy, things have moved on in a decade and a half!

 

Some of the lads weren't to keen on a whole days course. However, Chris is a top bloke who got everyone enthused - one of the best days of instruction I've had.

as a freelancer, I've never worked for a company that practices aerial rescue :blushing:. Most people practice once every 5 years, if they do refresher training!. Most groundies I work with would not have the ability to carry one out anyway, lets face it, if your onsite and your the only climber..if you needed to be rescued your chances would be slim.
