I send mine off to saturn machine knives for sharpening, they tell me when i need new ones. They do get very close to the line though.

 

mine used to get done by orange plant,,, there cheap as chips,and done in 5 mins and lasted ages.. wouldnt of took them no where else..:001_smile:

Have no problems sharpening the blades. Father -in law is a joiner who has the jig. In 3 years have never had a problem. Is easier for me and cheaper than sending them away

If you get to 1mm or closer to the line then that last bit will break off really quickly while in use. Once that happens you know they are no good.
