to place the cat it must be at least an inch above the cut, and to recieve training on this ud have to go a first aid course that surplies this. going on a 1 day/3day course wouldnt cover this as ud only learn basic 1staid. try st jhons course. ive not heard of any civvi courses teaching the use of this.

I was luckly enough to go on a team medic course and MRA (medical regimental assisant) in the military ie i could apply cat, drips, deal with shot gun wounds missing limbs etc etc

if i ever get my old laptop working ill post all relivent info. just remember that when and if you need to apply compressions etc that the governing body changes the amount evry year or couple of years. at the min you dont have to give breath if you dont want to, just continue with the chest compressions til emergency help arrives.

Thanks guys, I was also looking at getting a 30g Celox granules sachet to keep on me at all times.

Avoid the granules, get the celox/quick clot gauze.

Granules blow everywhere in wind, and can travel in veins / arteries causing clots.

Dak wasn't keen on the Colex granules.
