Service, good or bad??

Has anyone on here bought a vehicle from Pillory Down Commercials near Banstead in Surrey?

Just wondered what the experience was like in terms of honesty regarding the products and service provided.

Funnily enough just been talking to he who writes the cheques and we're going back for the body on our new truck after we got the last one from there, I've not dealt with them directly but he doesn't tolerate shoddiness so don't think they can be too bad.

 

We did have a couple of problems with the locks on our last body but nothing too serious .

Well I've had a minor problem and the post sale service, so far, has been beyond awful, extremely aggressive and not what I expect.

I got my tipper body from Solent Body Builders, much better, much lighter and only slightly more expensive than Pillory's guy.

Thinking about it I did call about the locks and was greeted with indifference but they weren't rude I'm sure.

 

If this other place makes em lighter there probably worth looking at, trouble is they sound like they're miles away down on the coast.

Check my Chip Bin Bodies thread on Large Machinery forum to see photos etc.

Solent Bodies are 2mins off M27 but will collect and deliver your truck. Their service is impeccable, unlike PDC.

Still have not received a solution from the dealer over the keys issue.

Spoke to her and she argued, told me she has only acted professionally, called me a liar and then hung up!

Beggars belief really and I'm not sure what to do next.

I would head back and sort it face to face they will not be as rude then plus you can show them your not going to be mugged off.

Call again and record it.. trading standards would be interested in such rude customer service.

Well I never did get any sort o resolution with them. The guy was very polite on the phone, promising to call back promptly on four occasions but never did.

His wife was appallingly rude and hung up on me while I was talking.

It's a shame as I would have bought from them again if only they sent me a key fob and I'd never have started this thread.

Arrogant fools.

Funnily enough a guy from solent was touting for business up our yard the other day with a nice pic of your truck in his brochure.
