I've just had a look on the web and they have that grinder for £489, it also says its water cooled so looks a good bit of kit. I currently pay £7.50 per blade to get mine sharpened so if I buy a jig and grinder it would take 85 sharpens to pay for it. If I had a fleet of chippers the it would be worth it i guess. Good to know though.

I also use it for chisels and knife blades, Im rubbish with an oil stone so to save time and effort I forked out the money and have'nt regretted it yet.

That's the one, so you reckon it does a good job? Have you tried them in your chipper yet?

Yes and they are fine.

The grinder runs at 90 rpm and is water cooled, the jig allows for exact adjustment so its a spot on finish, I can use a stone on the wheel to make it finer and then polish the finish on the leather wheel but cant see the point on the blades,

I take more time with knife blades and the results mean most of my matrs have since cut themselves because they were used to blunt knifes.
