Off I go to Sweden

Hello, was just wondering if anyone has worked in sweden previously? If they have any tips for me. Will be flying next Monday to stockholm and working in the nykoing area. Going to take harness, rope, spider jack and spikes with me. Any advice would be brilliant.

Make sure you make alot of money cos its bloody expensive. The work is easy. The beer is alot of money! It gets bloody cold.

A mate went out there for a year,

 

He said make sure all your prunning and finishing cuts are spot on, also your reductions need to be on point.

 

He got sacked for taking too much off his red's, although he was a commercial climber and i think that was why, he was used to get up, get done, get down and on to the next one......

 

Dunno tho, just what i have heard.

Yup its true, finishing cuts need to be A1. Mess up and you will be gone.

been climbing 8 years and only worked for AA approved companies (2) so without blowing my own trumpit i think there up to scratch. thanks for the advice though, something for me to make sure i do right 100% every time still. hopefully i like it as its a bit of a gamble. But i supose if i love doing it here then i dont see why i wouldnt there. Staying in a hostel dosent sound to great but there cant be worse than the ones i stayed in india ( fingers crossed ) ha

It sounds like a fantastic opportunity so who cares what the accomodation is like

 

Give it your all and don't be too quick to judge anything, if you came over to England and got in with a rubbish company in a rough area you would'nt like it so my point is keep an open mind about the country

Tree works a piece of pish over here, i guess you mean Nyköping, you might find it a bit quiet, but cheaper than Stockholm, beautifull though

I stayed in a hostel when I was there, and yes I have been to india too, I found the people in India much more Accommodating and friendly! Who are you working for?

Do you have to pay for accom,or is it included?
