Who is biting me !

Every year at this time of year we cut several hundred yards of beach hedge . I go along on the ground with a husky single sided cutter and my buddie follows with the steps and a husky long arm cutter . I do the face up as far as I can reach and he does the what I can't and the top. What critters live in the hedge and inflict their revenge on me ? ! Not looking for a solution ( long sleeves etc etc ) just curious as who the little fellas are ?

Dunno, but I've got absolutely covered in bites over the past week doing hedges. Also got something down my shirt last week that was biting and biting and biting as I was trying to kill it.

Mmmm . Don't see em as just got to crack on . The lumps come up next morning . Itch like buggery !

Ladybirds give a tidy nip, love to hide up in hedges, and hate people trying to kill them. Ladybird larvae also nip well, red and black with legs, voracious little beggars too.

Anthocoris nemorum, or flower bugs. good luck with dodging them, they is nasty muthas.

Are you sure its not mosquitoes there seem to be thousands of them at the moment massive as well.

Im forever getting bitten seen loads of horse flies this year compared to last but as above posted loads of mosquitoes things around as well I think all the wet weather has helped them ,their bites never show up straight away I always end up itching them the following day horrid things ,I have never heard of those flower bugs they look like they would give a nasty bite
