PTO Driven chipper,whats the best?

Just 2 we've done recently. 400U 9" machine on Mog. Front axle went down 1" rear rose 2". Without anything on the back thought that was good for a 1 ton chipper. 550U also available @ 300kgs more.

 

Second is a 550ZX 12" chipper on 140Hp Valmet. Safety bar removed for crane feeding. Neat little grapple with chainsaw in it.

I remember seeing that one with Mylesey. Did'nt it go to scotland?

Here's the same chipper on something better able to handle it. I curse the day I sold this rig. That county is worth a fortune now.

 

 

yes it did go to scotland we fitted lights etc on it as well and had to uprate the front springs and if i recall we also fitted check straps or chains to the rear to limit the travel, to be honest it was too large really for the front mount but the customer specified it so we built it
