Looking forward to it already.

Dan's far to talented at anything he try's - we're going to have to introduce handicaps.

:blushing:

I think the only reason for my axing prowess was that I probably had far too many go's! I don't think its any talent, more a probability that the more throws you do, you're bound to build up points eventually

I think it would be good if we could have a basic range of clothing, with of course Steves consent to use the Arbtalk name, maybe sponsored by one of the industries big players? The sort of idea I have would be along the lines of this Tuatahi T-shirts, Singlets and Caps - Tuatahi Racing Axes and Saws - Quality Competition Equipment of the Highest Standard again any extra sales could help raise a percentage for the Childrens Trust as well. Ok this is just ideas popping out of my head right now, so its not a given.

I like it. Maybe do a regional team league? Meet up every so often to have match with team colours/kits? Maybe that would be more logistically viable than everyone getting to the shows?

Hmmm lets see SE region, you me Steve, Rich Rule Mark Bolam.....oh yes a winning team in the making.. Unless the Northern pair wish to set up their own Northern Refugees Club:lol:

Anyway, back on track, i think next year should just run on the basics to see how it works out, if all is good we can always build on it year on year.

May I suggest laying down the rules on hard copy. Type of axe, weight of axe, distance to target, target size, measurements on target (distance rings have to be set apart), scoring, and how the axe is allowed to be thrown.

If people are wanting to practice it's no good throwing at a bigger target close when the comp is smaller target further away?

nor have I Rob....nor have I. I am going to set a target up here asap in a meadow, i need the training!

Pfff! Anyone who can cut a ratchet strap from a distance is a pro in my books:lol:

I think the rules should be to chuck the axe so it sticks in a lump of wood from a distance. Closer to the middle of the wood the better.

KIS.
