CLA game fair cancelled

It was cancelled on its 49th event down to the same reason as the car parks and walkways were waterlogged. Last years was a bit soggy but they had enough woodchip to put down on the heaviest used sections.

Dear Member

 

It is with great regret I am writing to inform you of the cancellation of this year's CLA Game Fair, which was due to take place at Belvoir Castle from 20-22 July.

 

The CLA Game Fair team has made heroic efforts to put the show on, but I am afraid the unprecedented and almost incessant bad weather has resulted in a waterlogged site which makes the possibility of a safe show unachievable. Even completing the building of the show has proved impossible.

 

This is a great sadness to all of us in the CLA. I understand that it will be a huge disappointment to many of our members and very bad news for our 966 exhibitors who have been hard hit by this appalling summer. Naturally, the terms and conditions of their contracts with the CLA Game Fair will be honoured.

 

All purchases of tickets, show guides and administration fees will be refunded.

It was cancelled a few years back when it was due to be at Harewood House in Leeds and the organisers stated they would not come north again as nowhere had the site to cope with bad weather!!
