We have just cut the rides on a a big shoot i beat, shoot and generally help out on. We normally use a largish JD (Dont ask model as don't have a clue) with a 10 ft deck forthe tighter spots. As there are alot of stumps hiding in the brambles the chain drive on a slip clutch (custom design made on the estate) works wonders. We have a deck we put on the back of a quadbike when doing the really tight bits and have a 30 ft deck (3 x 10ft decks) for when we top the covercrops at the end of the season and when we need to top and side up at the same time. We find tyres for a past time in the woods next to the estate roads. I found a phosphorus bomb a couple of seasons back. The tractor nearly stalled when it hit it. I thought it was a powder fire extinguisher i had just clipped.

Yeah she is a beauty. Brand new couple of months back, a new model - JD 210R, 210hp boosted to 240hp. Full RTK guidance system

Nice set up but a bit OTT to cut rides, tap the cab £££, glass £££,tyres £££

Its the only tractor the farm has mate, so its that or walk the woods with a strimmer for days and days!! She is a tough cookie.

likeing the deere, what are they like to live with???

Yeah I like it a lot, easy tractor to drive but the command centre computer offers lots of tweaking etc. The greenstar system is again straight forward but impressive. Maintenance is straight forward. Cab could be bigger though
