I've had 2 recently from Wordpress, it shows all of the arbtalk members email addresses, it says admin new order received anyone else had this?

 

Yes I did as well, members listed by name, including one very suspicious one

named Steve Bullman?, now where have I heard that name before:sneaky2:

Took a look at the link and it had a NZ address, it was Deleated.

There seems to be a spate of these at the moment, I have recently had ones purporting to be from just about every bank (except interestingly the one I actually bank with!), plus Paypal plus Hotmail.

 

I suspect that there is a class of 5 year olds somewhere that has been told about "phishing" and has decided to have a go!

 

They are generally very sloppily done and to most folk not convincing. Sadly there must be enough gullible people to make it worth while.

 

If you are in any doubt whatsoever, simply delete the email. Do not under any circumstances click on any links, download or open any attachments, or do anything else the email may tell you to do. In the unlkely event that it is genuine, your bank etc will aloways use other means to contact you before anything bad happens.

i had the same thing with a HSBC email and i do not have a HSBC account also i get the Microsoft emails saying i sent a error report and had people on the phone from India about it i play along

I love doing that, all sorts of variations on the event vwr scam, I love it when I'm able to make them swear especially... Good sport and yes, better than TV

I fill them in (if my security lets me) with something on the lines of ( you must think i'm a t--t) I don't know if they receive it or not but it makes me feel better.
