BSc (Hons) Arboriculture

I was wondering where is best to study online, to complete and gain an BSc (Hons) in Arboriculture. Im thinking for the future and the possibility of moving abroad.

 

What are your ideas or experience?

could try the horticultural correspondence college? not sure what qualifications are offered though..

I do mine at Myerscough, well online, and its brill (most of the time)

rob, ive looked at them and open university. ive done the level 3 sub sid diploma do you have to go over the same information again or can you submit what uve already learnt and concentrate on the high end part of the course as i noticed its 3yrs online.

Do it at Myerscough. RobArb is on the FD. I've just finished the bsc onsite and tbh I would have struggled doing it online!

yeah would love to do it there however its 1 hell of a drive up and back down. thats why im looking at online courses. between work and my boys, going up to myerscough wouldnt make any sence. ill have to call them and see what they can offer etc.

I have been driving from Worcester to Myerscough once a week for 2 years - I wouldn't recommend it!

 

Bear in mind that contact time can be very motivating though - I think I would have struggled (more) if had been going it alone online.

 

Is there nowhere closer?

 

Apparently the University of Worcester do the BSc and Fdsc at their Pershore campus: Arboriculture BSc (Hons)/FdSc - University of Worcester

 

I've heard mixed reviews from students though.

 

Have you considered doing the Tech Cert or Professional Diploma with Treelife? Their head office is not far from you: Training

thanks paul im currently looking all over the net to find some where closer, ill take a look at what uve linked. looking at Myerscough web site theyve not released the online learning yet as there awaiting peoples thoughts and numbers so ill just have to wait out
