I havn't heard that for yonks. When some one was getting angry, we would say "Gurt veins on neck stikin rite out yer!!" `Where'd you catch the bus to' means where do you catch the bus from. The west country is a law unto itself init

Another version of disco legs is just 'Elvis' - everything's shakin' all over.

 

'Silky Hand Job' - when you have to use your silky/hand saw to finish off a cut. As in 'I haven't gone deep enough with the husky; I'll have to finish it off with a silky hand job'.

Vaguely on topic.

 

When logging up a felled tree, you know how you end up with a big heavy bit, from where the main stem splits into 2 or 3. We always leave it till last because its big and heavy and may blunt the saw with dirt that can be in there.

 

Is there a name for this bit? I've always thought it deserved a name, and if it doesn't have one could we take this opportunity to give it one.
