i was wondering if anyone had tried making a knife out of an old chainsaw chain apparently it makes a decent knife but ive yet to find someone who has one.

It apparently has a pattern on it similar to the demascus steel.

I've heart of bars used, how would a chain work? Very little knives I suppose :confused:

 

 

Heat and fold together in a smithing furnace. You can do the same with wire rope.

Wow sean they are some very fine blades you make, how will the mix of mettle affect the strength of the blades or are these mostly dress /ceremonial blades?
