that is very nice. i have never got around to doing a big deer carving yet which is kinda strange as i spent 8 years working with them and have named my son Roe. i did a coupe of little reindeer at christmas but they were only about a foot high. i love it when people post pics of things on here that i want to carve. keep up the good work

Fantastic ... I agree with splinters... the best carvings make you think i wanna have a go at that. Was it a big chunk o wood or is it quite a small piece ..

it was a fairly chunky sitka butt 750mm dia x 900mm height. wish I'd left it a bit longer and got longer horns but had to be manageable.
