Tuesday at the office, here is a medium/large Tulip tree in a backyard for removal. Easy simple tree to tackle. Not much impeding our work. Did the brush by 12.15 then did some wood after lunch. Hope you dont get too bored with the film !! ;)

Reg, I learned everything I know from you :) the initial climb I did DdRT, wasnt certain about putting the pantin over the spike, but after lunch I wrenched back up, it was not so bad, still need to finesse the going up technique,,,, I have a hand ascender, and got a perfect bungee for ascending the gear, just not used to it I guess.

Got all the wood down today, felled the stem, towards the fence, and the bugger split right in 2! It had been struck by lightening 3 years ago, the back stem, and there was significant charred wood in the centre of the tree... I took some film of it all, so will probably put another video together.

Who said anything about wrenches and pantins, just use your flipline and spur it....you have them on already. Pre-setting the line is handy too if its an easy shot and time allowing, but dont over look the easiest and most obvious means.

Glad the job went ok nonetheless.
