Read the article in the Kew magazine on David Nash - I like what he's doing, and on the subject of art.... having been to the Royal Acadamy in London over the weekend to see the 'summer exibition' Nash has masses more talent than the endless load of garbage on display there!!!!

 

P.S Silky I knew you would be well into a bit of wood sculpture down at Kew!!!!

locals were not too enthusiastic prior to its arrival, but it went down well eventually, and was the catalyst for further art instalations on the site and off it.

 

This was a birch that used to reside on the heath, which we dismantled in meter sections for an american artist who resurected it inside the barbican for an exhibition a couple of years back.

Not quite.....he found an old wooden shed on the banks of the Rhine he dismantled part of it and built a boat on which he transported the rest of the shed down the river...to somewhere in Switzerland wher he reconstructed the wooden shed...it won the Turner Prize.....Great Immagination!
