Nash at Kew

Was there for something else today but would like to go back & focus on his work in situ a lot more.

Not entirely sure, but my guess would be 'a work of art'

To be honest I can't see nay of that as art!

 

Most of it is trees cut vertically in half and some turned upside down......

 

Art in my eyes is a healthy looking tree that has grown huge and looks as it should do, or a prune or pollard that has been done right.

 

Or a job that went without incident with a good looking tree left at the end of it.

 

Just my opinion.

The first two are cool, im guessing the others are work in progress?

 

Love Nash's work, particularly the wooden boulder, and it's associated story.

 

Roger Deakin had a lot of good things to say about him in "Wildwood"

He has the in-situ wood quarry in the shots above where you can see him at work.

 

The pieces are all around the gardens.

Saw his stuff at YSP a while ago, some very inspiring pieces mixed in with some drabness. I suppose when you're so prolific some of it is bound not to hit the mark. An artist I admire very much.
