My brother is looking to buy a house near manchester and he's spotted something on Tweedle Hill Road near Heaton Park. Does anyone know this area and how is it for living there, crime etc?

I think it's in higher blackley, it's not bad round there, close to transport links and only a stones throw from the city centre.

As for crime, it's Manchester mate, crimes everywhere but it's not like there's muggings every 5 minutes or owt.

Higher Blackley area used to be ok, across Blackley New Road into Crumpsall and Harpurhey there are some pretty scummy areas. About 5 years since I worked in that area though. Most of Manchester is posh areas cheek by jowl with scummy sink estates.
