L200 double cab vs club cab (old shape)

Recommended Posts

Club cab L200 belonging to my mate pictured next to my double cab.

Was interested to find the overhang over the back wheel is longer meaning the extra bed length of 13" comes from 6" behind the cab and 7" over the rear axle - never knew that! Doors are longer too on the club-cab; wheelbase the same obviously. Club cabs like his seem highly sought after down here; I can see why; a little room for tools, clothes, a saw etc but the bed is bang on 1m3 (add 15 logs for wheel arches!). Should have had one - might still; get one of the last 55 reg club cabs and live with the crap mpg and turning circle. Either that or a extra-cab hilux when things get better.

I had the club cab, loads of room in the bed and you could still get a 3 man team inside the cab ,with tools, as long as the one in the back was a dwarf and by chance at that time we had one of those working for us, T2 was his name:lol:
