how is the best way to price a log ?

i know how to work out the cubic foot / cubic meterig of a log but how do you come up with a price that is both fair for you and the person your buying it from

feel free to pm your answeres if you want to

what i mean is what value do you put on the wood per cubic foot

Are talking hoppus (sp) foot???

if your buying in the round its hoppus foot, only converts to cubic feet when square,ie milled!..loads of threads on this ,do a search mate,,,

sometimes offering what you want to pay works,,as long as both party`s are happy,=result.

There are too many factors here to answer the question accurately, but firewood is about £2/actual cubic foot (as opposed to hoppus), which is a reasonable starting point.

this is what im after as i want a good figure so every one is happy and i can always trace the cost of timber through my accounts
