price per ton for cutting hardwood

as the title says just wondering what people get paid per ton for cutting hardwood, small and large diametre?

Depends on the site... between £5-£20

Mostly coppice sites generally flat, sometimes on slopes etc, I'm after the price just for cut not extract, and is 5 pound for larger stuff? I've only really done work for two contractors so trying to get a better idea of price

if its all ranging from 5 - 14 inch diameter i would say around 10 or 12 per ton felled snedded and stacked

And how many tons in an hour or day would you expect to fell?

£8-10 if your using your own gear but their fuel (assume it's a subby job). 10-15 ton per day I'd have thought, depending how good you are etc. , but I think thats a reasonable rough guess.

i supply everything fuel, chains etc ive been doing it nearly 15 month so i guess anywhere from 8 or 9 ton upwoods depending on the site i guess, obviously some sites are terrible and hard to make money in im on £8.50 a ton so just wondering what other prices are

Dunno about ton but I'd say £9 - £15 per m3; 9 is bottom end typically for biomass product, no stacking.

I was getting £15/pt on a recent coppice site plus £500 a hectare, was low diameter and some parts were just hazel. Was cutting 4t a day and 1/2 a hectare a week. Just moved to forestry commission site, nice beech, easy felling £8/pt, booking out 10/12 tonne a day. All own kit, own fuel etc
