I can't see it being any different to some one selling there grandads medals from ww1/ww2 or the the poor ex forces guys selling there's

Not sure I see why British police officers who have served 5 years deserved a fecking medal anyway.... I feel I deserve one more for funding their salaries, pensions, overtime and flexi-time while they cruise around in their panda cars or hang out at Spar....

But that's just my skewed perspective as a married taxpaying home owning parent working full time in the private sector.... so what do I know...?

War veterans have sold off there medals since time immemorial. Crimean veterans sold theirs, Boer vets theirs, and so on. It's almost taken as read that there was a value to them and it was like a payment for the dedication of their service. So Daily Mail, and your readers, there is nothing new under the sun.
