yes just like that bu has not been as out spread as that just near the base to breast height.

It's been a while but here is some of a big old copper beech take down it had a big cavity running up the trunk which made things intresting but it was a trail for a new company very good days work. they had some brilliant kit lovely and helpful guys as well no before pictures but they start from the front part of the tree already dismantled ready for the rest to be rigged around the acess was terrible so the mog was out in force with all brushwood chipped then logs into trailers then off loaded into the lorry.

the job from hell here very wind day all rigged out previoush pollarded so regrowth, the world and his wife on the other side of the fence neasden temple outbuildign car park you name it, does not do it justice really.

as im not so fungi endowed but if my memory serves me something was said about meripilus and also there was plenty of fruiting fungi at the base as you can see in one of the pictures i have a picture of the stump somewhere.

the laurel hedge from hell intresting it ran over 100meters on both sides of the garden 3 lorry loads of wood chip and one long drag.

yea it would have been great just to chip straight back into the hedge all hail the big chipper and lorry instead.
