Great to catch up with mates at the first show of the year.

However poor show in my opinion and if my primary objective wasnt catching up with mates id have to seriously consider wether to attend next year.

 

What was the score with the two fields thing? Probably one of the daftest moves by the organisers ever

 

I can't see how long the show will continue to run for if this is going to be the standard from now on

Such a shame, for several years this was probably my favourite in the calendar, small relaxed and friendly, with enough to just keep things bubbling along. Oh well

Was a good day out, met the (in)famous Steve Bullman and Andy Collins and embarrassed myself at the axe throwing .

 

On the plus side, I came 2nd in the rigging competition (very tongue in cheek...) to win a silky

 

Also been invited by the organisers to do a greenwood working stall there in future shows, honoured!

had a lovely drive down there today, was ok i guess from the organisers POV, could of been alot better, spent most of the day with Andy collins, some of the day with steve bullman and had a nice little chat with john shutler, got to meet a couple others to silky fox and john treasure but only briefly,

 

had a laugh with andy, and good talk about pruning saws and the legendary samurai's..................NOT

i had some sales going in on the Ap's ..but don't think i'll be salesman of the year......

 

oh and steve has some propper comp with the college lads 3D knot Ap.... i've ordered 2....

 

road trip was i bit crap few heavy down poors some hail to, which is always crap to drive in?????

 

all in all had a good day.....for the first of the year anyway.....

Was good to meet you too Adam...and great throwing by the way! also a couple of pics of a cool horse,that was in a field opposite the Arbtalk area. it was a pleasant day and i left with a handy new rope bag that i haggled for.
