Thinking about emigrating to either OZ or NZ in the next year or two and would like to know if anyone would have any advice on moving, sponsored visas, required entry funds, living there to work as climber/groundie. Or is it too late or too soon?!

A bit about myself:

9 months industry practice (Urban/Surburban Enviornments)

3 months education

NPTC 30, 31, 38, 39, PA1, PA6 (40, 41 on the way)

Lantra Chipper

Updated Emergency First Aid

Physically fit and in Good character

Thanks for any help on the subject matter.

Hi

I'm currently in the process of sorting out my visa, to go to Aus, I'm going over on a 4 year visa which is the sub-class 457 visa, the visa application cost is $350 which at moment is £229, if you get sponsored by a company they should cover the remaining cost, you will have to pay flights and sort accomadation out unless otherwise stated, the company I'm applying to are crying out for people.

If you require any further info, please get back in touch.

hope this helps, the money they offering is mega. I'm taking my family outthere so if your single you may be able to go over on a different type of visa.

Thanks

You probably won't get residency in either country with a lack of qualifications or work experience, however, at least in NZ you can go in the work to residency catagory if you are employed with an approved contractor. My suggestion is that you get yourself sorted with a work visa (3 years if you can manage it) and then head for a tree outfit that is approved by the department of immigration for the work to residency catagory once you know if you like the country enough to stay. This catagory will allow you to work towards your residency without either the full range of skills or education. You would obviously have to prove your worth to the outfit you work for but this would be the easiest option and will take about 2 years. You'll need to keep your nose clean as well as you aren't guaranteed residency until you have the stamp in your passport. I can't help with the Oz side of things but I'm sure there's a few people on here that can. If you want more in depth info PM me.
