Martin - Modified Class 1 is what some splicers use on the original 8mm AP to keep burys short for e2e, Basically its just making the burys slighty longer to compensate for the different material the core is made out of, Im sure Drew will elaborate as I believe he uses this splice (and may have come up with the idea) often.

 

Good work Bruce, practice practice practice that is the key! oh and also break testing for piece of mind! I found the class 2 a bit annoying having to re- insert the cover to bury it on the inside but got there in the end, dont really use this splice much to be honest but looks like your well on your way
