We took delivery of this yesterday.

It is 35hp and made in Solvenia.

My first tractor so hoping it proves to be a good investment.

The plan is to fit a 3 ton winch and eventually a small trailer with crane.

Has anyone used one before?

Nice little tractors and really good climbers as they are fairly heavy over the front for a small alpine. Looks a nice tidy one :thumbup1:

Pre-riko, I used to work with a guy who ran one for flailing. A fair bit of the time it was on woodland rides on sites where previously they were always done with strimmers as it was that steep/rough - I remember one day driving it up a long set of steps in a wood that I really didn't think it would have done, and it didn't bother it.

I'd ditch the wide rims when you can afford as there's very little choice of tyre in 31/15.5/15 (it looks like that's what's on it?) - you'll make less of a mark and have more ground clearance on some decent mid width agris than yuo would with a set of 31/15.5/15 terras.

It is really weird the way they drive. As well as articulating it also sort of twists in the middle. Takes some getting used to but it feels like the wheels are glued to the ground.

You are right I need to sort the tyres. Problem is I find wheels and tyres confusing and expensive! It is on 15x10 rims. I think the cheapest option would be to get some agri tyres for the same rims. Apparently 29x12.5x15 will fit.

Anyway very happy with it. Just need to get it in the woods!

What you will probably find though is the only agri's you'll find in those sizes have really open centre tread that is only a couple of cm deep. It really is worth the bit extra to get your whee/tyre combo right - it will transform it :thumbup1:

I know you are right! I am just struggling to find the perfect setup. Stock the AGT835 come with 7.50x16 agri wheels. I think this is the same size as a stock land rover wheel? Anyway I thought that would be too narrow. But now I am not sure! Is there a wider size that would work?

You bought well with that tractor! Sure looks very tidy.

With wheels, you can get Ag tyres to fit your rims. Should be 29x12.50x15.

As Chris said, the wider 31x15.5x15 tyres tend to have quite a shallow tread (as do the 29x12.5x15 ag tyres). I have come across a used set of these, but they are on the wrong rims. Alan might be able to sort you out with some rims maybe?

If you want a deeper tread you could go with some 280/70R18 tyres, they will be a shade narrower than you current ones, but have a much deeper tread pattern.

7.50x16 tyres will be fairly narrow. Approx sizes are all below

7.50x16 approx 190mm wide and 780mm tall

280/70R18 approx 280mm wide and 850mm tall

29x12.5x15 approx 320mm wide and 740mm tall

31x15.5x15 approx 390mm wide and 790mm tall

Thanks Jim :thumbup1: I think 280/70R18 might be the bit of info we have been missing.

They seem to give better ground clearance, are wide-ish and should give good grip. They also seem to be a more usual tractor size as a few manufacturers seem to make them.

I will get onto to Alan about making up some rims.

Do you know if they fit on the AGT835 stock or do they need spacers?
