Nice job Dak

I agree AP poly is easy. I got 8m of the stuff, then I got into the RW- On the RW i like a very short hitch and the class db splice is a bit long and stiff.

Any tips to keep it short but safe??

What cover tail taper are you using?

Cheers

Not an expert by any means but Drew B reduced the bury by 50% IIRC on the E2E spliced hitch cords. He also tested them to destruction.

This was a while back, maybe he will be along to give a bit more accurate information.

Class 1 is much shorter anyhow!

My cover taper is 5/4/5/4 and so on, and my 1st bury is around 4 inches, that obviously reduces when its been cut and tapered and sucked back into the cover and my 2nd is 8 strands from cross over!!

Drew will hopefully churp up on this as id be interested to know what he does too, i might be wrong but i thought he'd reduced his fid length to around 20x dia instead of 24! But don't quote me on that!

I did shorter burys on the AP e2e with much blunter tapers as I was told to do, still waiting for the break results, aye Drew. ;) worked really well, not as stiff and they also didn't kill me.

Odd that.
