Chuck the bikes out of the race van and rough it in that for a couple of weeks at a time

Or drop in on those long lost relatives who just happen to live near to your proposed work site.

well we just have panel van ha . and a caravan ... doesnt look very good if your pulling a 25ft caravan on the back of a transit tipper ***** springs to mind. but im thinking the caravan is the best bet.

A search for B&B's in each location should be straight-forward enough. Then get dialing. Should be some reasonable deals to be negotiated if you plan to stay a while.

Why not ask fellow Arb talk users for accommodation, this could be the start of a new thing, like the youth hostel association, but called the arbhostal association.

We used to do it with a caravan years ago. The novelty wore thin trying to heat a 5 gallon bucket of water to wash with in February:001_smile: The only trouble working away is the fact you tend to spend money in the pub to relieve the boredom on winter nights.

Hi there I have a ford transit and I had it converted in to a camper I had all the insulation done also a side window and sky light put in plus a diesel heater it has a toilet a cooker and a near full size bed and lighting .

It's a really good way to go if you are staying away most of the time .

With accommodation costing between 10 & 50 per night it soon pays for it's self . I live in mine most of the time as work uk wide for weeks at a time .

It's the way forward for you All the best
