Sounds like crap maintenance to me.

Admittidly we were workin for a big company so we did tend to use and abuse our kit.the chippers werent serviced to the same standereds as what we do now because there was no personal pride in them. but i am just going on my own personel experiance.:001_cool:

Jensen here

used em all T/Wolf, Greenmechs in every size, a few bandits.

when i started on my own the only chipper i was buying was a Jensen.

In the five years we've had ours, apart from blades and service items, all its had is a new ignition, and a new battery.

cant fault it

Its the law of owning machinery, it breaks. Metal wears out bearing blow wiring gets old and self destructs, maintain a machine and it will prolong its life, it's weather you spot a problem before it develops. If it starts missing beats or struggling to ork thats the time to stop and look into it, to ignore an issue with a machine will not end well.

A job can wait a day or few hours a machine will not.

Jenson more expensive but worth the extra pound notes! Surprised by the high praise for the green mechs on here, I free lance climb a lot for different firms and the quad chips I've come across have no guts and the roller spring often fails, and these machines are less than a few years old.

Jenson for me..!!
