there great but if youve got big hands your thumb can open the cam as you cant lock it in place. I really rate mine though.

Certainly not a primary hand ascender. Would be a great little edition to a rope wrench set up though I reckon

I think honey brothers do. If that's the really compact open sided ascender I saw in their shop on Friday, I wish I'd got one instead of my Petzl.

Look on their website for price.

I should elaborate on my earlier post. The Petzl ascender is excellent and I thought the large comfy hand grip would be good (as I now climb SRT).

The reality is that as I've learnt the new technique I hardly use the ascender at all. Comfort isn't a requirement any more but small and compact on the back of my harness would be better.

Oh well, live and learn.

I like the way they make you stay upright on the rope rather than hang off it like a petzl ascension. the lack of knuckle guard can also be a pain. awesomly tiny. the futura chest ascender is tiny but i think its too small and not as efficent as the croll, the foot futura-i wore mine out in about 2 weeks!

I prefer the ISC one for some reason as they are the same pretty much. Never had a go on the Futura but seen joe harris use it in his vids a few times.:thumbup1:
