How are you mounting your GoPro?

As the title says, getting mine this week and not sure how I will mount it on my Petzl. Does the outdoor kit come with suitable mounts?

Use the curved sticky mount just foward of center, with the visor up it just touches the camera body on mine

Oh yes! Clean your helmet first, i used bathroom bleach and it came up like new, let it dry, stuck it on and held firmly for a minute. the cameras had plenty of knocks when on the helmet, still stuck fast, and the mounts been soaked in rain, snow, plus 35c and minus 25c

Best check that the adhesive is safe to use on your climbing helmet first. Many adhesives can react with the plastic and weaken it.

I use both on my stein hat the sticky pads and they are very strong, on my petzl i use the vent attachment.

I use the curved mount. I usually heat it up a little before attaching to my lid. For off the helmet shots I use a special mount and gorilla pod.

hi new member here. anyway i prefer to use the elasicated head garter instead of sticking the mounts to my lid. i tend to swap my go-pro from ski helmet to my stein on a weekly basis and have found that the glue in pads can eat into helmet plastic quite quickly. jc
