I keep finding stuff:thumbup1:

What if its not sphaeroblasts its torpedo aerated water bottles!

Found this in the woods today filled with mud and leaves

Circa 1840-1870, worth about £20-£30 quid but i'm keepin it:001_rolleyes::lol:

i've got quite a few of these:blushing:

i used to dig them up on one of my grandfathers fields which was an old quarry used as a tip. theyre mainly in the loft with a few exceptions that the wife has about the house.

its a common version of a hamilton bottle /torpedo bottle same scweppes thats still going, probably circa 1880-1910.

what you want is a few coloured ones or to find out why its there... is it just a stray or was there a dump, and get your shovel out you'd be supprised what some of it will make PERFECT CONDITION ADVERTISING GENUINE RUSSIAN BEARS GREASE POT LID | eBay

Cool £107 for a lid:lol:

The woods in which i found it are pretty old, there's some ancient woodland species in there apparently.

This ones not worth much and don't know what it was doing there but it was on a pretty steep slope?

That's one of the nicest looking bottles I've seen.

The man Fay, who did the 1800 mile redwood transect a few years ago (Nat Geo magazine article) posted an image of a bottle he found in the middle of one redwood park.

Possibly from the early 1900s prohibition days in the USA.

Not nearly as nice as your bottle though.
