Why refer to AC Price and Atkinson Vos as the two up North ? I'm sure we wouldn't refer to Arb shops it that way ?

I found Vos reasnoble for 2nd hand parts but don't order new from them as they'll only come direct from Mudie Bond with a Vos mark up lol !!

I think the original poster did not want to name them for some reason, although its obvious and I was quoting him. Was just literally just chatting about the VOS mark up thing.

With repairs its very much down to recommendation and personal experience.

With new parts I use Alex Price as he has always looked after me well and I consider him a personal friend, but surly others could simply ring round all the UK dealers, there are 4 that I know of, and get the cheapest price?

Another point I would make is that if you buy all your spare parts from one suppler, they are far more likely to be prepared to give you technical advice should you need it.

Even though they are insanely busy serviceing £120,000 mogs for Fountains and dealing with huge arb firms. When ever i ring, Andy will spend 5-10 minutes on the phone explaining technical queries and giving invaluable advice.
