Good afternoon, for starters please don't take my title the wrong way, i do not mean there are no good companies in the north west!

What i do mean is:

Are there any companies in the north west, that are good to work for, do interesting jobs and good to learn from? to work with a team that is keen to work and all aspects of the job?

Did that make any sence?

Currently looking for another company to sub to within 25 miles of barnoldswick, lancs :) would like to go north than south :)

Cheers

As a business owner in the NW I think one problem you may have is your not justa subbie, you have set yourself us as a tree company, this like it or not makes you a competitor of mine, which is fine and I wish you the very best :001_smile:

But I'm not in the habit of inviting the competition to come work for me and learn from my years of experience.

Personally I would have remained a subbie climber for a few years, picking up experience and then set up as a Co (that is actually what I did)

90 % of my work is subbing :001_smile:

I was in a similar situation to you but as a groundie, and relying on promises of work cost me a lot of lost days. You have to get out of the habit of 'pencilling' people into your diary. They either book you for that day or you are still looking to fill it and can't promise to be available if they are 2nd in line. :001_smile:
