I Went on holiday to france, took my kit to do some rec climbing at my parents place.

 

one of there good friends over there had a sweet chestnut that has split in two, and wanted it removed, in i come. took around 4 hours to remove, would have been less if i had a bigger saw, and the stem would bloomin fall over.

 

More to come....

... lol. Ill remember to put them on next time. forgot to mention was my first removal.

so you were anchored into the tree on the left right..?..the whole time..?..and what is the pole in the last pic..??

 

Correct, and the pole is supporting one of the branches in the tree im anchored into.
