Bevel Gears

Hi all thanks for the replies. I have had stuff nicked in the past and tend not to buy new, Your'e right about the comparison of the gears and then time to fit and the cost for a new one. I have 2 hedge cutters and the scrub cutter (Ebay bargain of £66.00 for all three). I was quoted £188 for a set but may now just break for spares. I think the gears are way over the top price wise but that's the way it is I suppose. Rich2484 I haven't stripped them yet I know they are a pain in the arse so going to have a go Saturday.....Thanks everyone

at £69 quid I wouldn't say that's dear for a set of gears. Is yours the Kombi fixed or 0-135 degree head.

Hi pleasent awwww I wish mate..paid £69.00 for the three heads I knew they were knackered though. Yeah they are the 0-135 degree ones. Just been reading through the posts being a newbie. I cannot believe the amount of gear getting nicked!

have a look on fleabay combi cutter for spares £22 at the moment

If you tell us exactly which Kombi model you have then maybe we can be a bit more accurate. I can assure you I fitted a set last week to a fixed head Kombi hedgecutter genuine Stihl parts at £69.00 plus vat for the gears.
