I stick them in my books, give them the accountant he does my books and hands them back to me when I sign the acceptance of his accounting, I then chuck them after 6 months or so. So after 12 months I don't have them anymore.

i keep all my manuals as well and if you did you would have all the tacho settings

I downloaded a manual Bob and it didn't have maximum no load revs in it nor tickover rpm, it should be workshop manual stuff that.

Thats how I learnt, I got the idiots guide with my first saw, S/H 266, was very helpful !

Try telling the tax man that when you get investigated ! 3 years is the maximum i believe now Dave. It's serious poop time if you can't provide those records Dean.

i must be a saddo then, i keep all my manuals and reciept, had the loss adjuster today and guess what, there doing there best to get out of paying me, a clause says buisness tools are office equiptment, pc, laptop etc..........Never felt so low in years....

 

 

Something smells there, check your insurance proposal form to see what you insured your tools as. Also if it comes to it name and shame the insurer on here and then email the loss adjuster a link. In these times they'll unlikley want to lose business and a 7k payment probably only equates to 2 tree surgeons annual polices.

Was just thinking the same thing. You would be screwed over Dean. Im not one for keeping things like that, but i always remind myself of the outcome if the S*** hit the fan.

Sorry to hear you were both robbed. It is a horrible feeling, and a despicable act to steal the tools of one's livlihood.

 

 

What do you mean 'a clause says buisness tools are office equiptment, pc, laptop etc'. Never take anyone's word for it, I imagine you have already scoured your policy, if not, I recommend you do so. Loss adjusters, in my limited experience, can be right funny buggers. We had to watch our one like a hawk.

Also, if you are vat registered but bought some of the tools, which were stolen, before registering then you can account for that on your claim.
