Hi

sounds like a really nice saw, what bar length do you have?

Did you buy it in the UK or France if so which dealer as they all seem daft prices for Stihl here.

Hi mate I bought the saw from Honeybrothers in England. Here in France they want €750 but I paid £417 + VAT (thats with £25 to deliver it here in France) but as I'm TVA rated here I got it zero rated (no VAT). I got the 45cm (18 inch) bar has it is for ground work to save me using my 440 all the time.

I was using it all day today and it so light and perfect for nipping up felled trees.

Hope this help.

I calculate including postage that Mark has paid 600euros

(depending on exchange rate)

I make it a tight rule NEVER to buy anything for the business other than my daily requirements here in France like fuel...Yup, fuel and oil, thats about it.

Thats wee Greenmech CS100 is sold here for 7400euros compared to the £4500 in the U.K.

Ifor Williams trailers are a third more with NO discounts available.

I've just received a tonneau cover and insert for the pick up which ordered from the U.K saved 25%

As French customer service is generally rather poor and repairs often exorbitant it is cheaper for me to simply buy spare saws and send the ones for repair back to the U.K.

Just why are we here then eh?

Ty
