When did you guys first use cranes?? How did you get into it? Did you just go for it or spend time with someone that has used them Before? I'm really keen to get into using them.

 

I have been using cranes for years , I was about 19 the first time , I had a bit of guidance off my uncle who had done a bit , but just took the plunge its a lot of thinking not just climbing just don't take on to much to soon and go and watch it being done if possible there are plenty of guys on here doin it just ask them

id also love to get into using cranes but dont know where to start.im 24 now and been rigging for 6years or so but never been on a crane job,would love to catch up with Mr Coates when he is in the area and have a good watch

to be honest i think if i was to watch rege doin crane work i would feel very very bad at it :laugh1:

i had the honour of watching reg before i booked a crane for one of my jobs, he makes it look so easy, alot to live up to aswell after seeing him do it, but you learn so much by taking the plunge and trying it your self.

its a shame he lives so far away ,well he is in the states at the moment anyway
