maybe a narrow one but id rather explore other options first then its not extra cost thats getting passed onto the customer

that is true, the bits that will be coming off will be fairly small so i dont think they would do any damage if the roof was boarded

In the summer when roofing felt goes soft I lay old carpet on shed roofs to stop twigs and dead wood from marking the felt, I dont see why it wouldnf work on other roofs as long as the bits are small.

 

Can you borrow another pole and use it to hold the branches while the other set does the cutting ?
