Wood Chip

You could make a lot more money with a lot less hassle by just selling your woodchip as mulch to landscapers, nurseries, etc. All my woodchip gets dumped off at a local nursery, he just leaves it there in a huge pile, turning it occasionally and sells it for about £15+VAT per cubic metre (about 250kgs), and believe me, he sells a lot of it. It doesn't matter what grade it is, what tree it came from or wether theres the odd stone in it. No need for a concrete base or even a hardcore base, just a corner in your field/yard will do. If i had the space this is what i would be doing with it!

because i dont create alot of chip (few loads a month) this option is ideal if you leave it for a year , which is the route im taking-- i once paid £30 for a full load of mulch in my tranny with high sides - drove to a customers house and he paid £120 --- a dumpy bag was going for £100 , i gave him about 4 bags worth...

for people out there with land , if you produced alot of chip it wouldnt take long to get your outlay back -- and you get to buy a tractor maybe , even if its a **** one
