Yea its agreed with the missus that we have a lie in each at the weekends......i get up early with the kids on a saturday....mrs stays in bed. Sunday is my lie in.......so i get up before everybody and sod off to the woods:thumbup1:

 

Really enjoying exploring this wood......and looking forward to spending many days there.

Another early one last weekend....ventured further inwards/upwards and downwards. This is such a special place with some hidden Gems.

 

A fantastic veteran oak deep in the woods.....getting very top heavy and could really do with Haloing imo to encourage some lower growth as it is getting very top heavy.

 

A fantastic old Small leave lime coppice stool which is now essentially now a small group of trees.

Leitiporous on Yew

 

Huge ancient Sweet chestnut stool which somebody is taking time out to create a little piece of art work with.

 

Have seen a small fraction of what this amazing ancient landscape has to offer.....
