This is turning back the clock a few years….. Willow down on the riverside. The spot is used frequently by picnickers, and the old girl was showing signs of reaction grown under some of those main limbs. We had two other Willows of the same age near-by, one was lost due to a massive limb failure and the other one just blew over!

 

I thought this one deserved a little time and effort and hopefully it’ll be around for a few more years…

Nice sympathetic reduction John.

How long ago?

 

Have you had to revisit the regrowth yet.

 

 

I found a good number of weeping and crack Willows with largish pruning wounds hosting Laetiporus this year.

....It was two years ago buddy (how do you like the old chipper?!) I've been back with a hedge-trimmer in the summer to 'crown raise it :laugh1:

 

I've got a few Pop's with Laetiporus on around the city...keeping my eye on 'em at the mo'
