this series set in india has had me watching with butt clenching admiration for these guys.

Id climb trees before doing there job :)

It amazes me , after all the argy bargy they have on the roads there never is a punch up. Could you imagine that over here ? It seems to be a ritual for them to get out and argue. Good series but probably preferred the alaskan roads. :001_smile:

What I can't make out is how they steer the trucks, what is stopping the truck from going straight on when you turn the steering wheel either left or right, especially on sharp corners.

 

Im guessing youre talking about steering on the ice?

Oddly enough I was talking to an old(ish) Canadian chap who is into his trees/logging etc and who is over here to see his in-laws for xmas. I mentioned Ice Road Truckers and he said he knew one of the guys from the early days of the show, and went on to mention some of the stuff which was done to cause the truckers 'problems'.

 

Made 'better TV' they said.

 

Still like wathching it tho.

I enjoyed it when it 1st started, but now it is as boring as hell. All they every do is make out that it is so dangerous and and that theres a great risk, and then nothing happens.

Think it has kind of run it's course, that's why they have brought another woman in this year.
