Hi all I am thinking of doing my spraying tickets either as and an on to my own company services and to add to my subbing skills that can be offered to other companies

Can anyone tell me is there a demand for operatives with spraying tickets or companies who can supply spraying services. ?

Thanks littletree:thumbup:

I've got PA1 & PA6A. Carry my NPTC card & have been required to show it on many occasions. But then, I'm a landscaper & maintenance gardener, not a 'treeman'.

I'm pretty sure I have my PA1 ticket, but I don't think I've ever had call to wave it in front of anyone.... I must dig that out....!

Pa1 is just the paperwork side of pesticides, if you only have that then legally you can't spray!

I've got pa1, pa2a and pa6a. The courses do give some handy knowledge!

if your going to do PA1 and PA6 try and find somewhere that does PA6AW (rather than just PA6A) as this also teaches you and qualifies you to use herbicides on or near water bodies, this is a real bonus if your doing work on banksides where you need to get an Environment Agency consent for the treatment (including stump treatment!) as the EA wont consent the works unless you can produce a PA6AW certificate

The council are putting me through my PA1 and PA6W, allows me to spray on or beside water. Would be good to have i suppose, the calculations on the course won't be looked at once i've passed though.
