Hakki pilke 1x37 chainsaw gets stuck

I have a hakki pilke 1x 37, when I am cutting the chainsaw goes so far thru the wood and stops, the chain is still spinning round but not cutting, I really have to force the handle down, does anybody know whats wrong ?

Is the bar Catching on the guard? Sounds like you may have bent the bar by putting too much pressure on it from cutting with a blunt chain

Bar is not very old and the chain is sharp, i think the wood is trapping the bar but i cannot see how.

the chain could be sharp but if it was used on an old bar, the chian will have worn to the old bar ,making the chain run off

Is the chain sharpened equally? If not it will want to pull to one side and bind up.

I will turn the bar over tomorrow and try that and get another one ordered

are they not just standard bars mine is on the farmi go to your local chainsaw dealer first they are alot cheaper

Yes standard bar. I can get one off a company next day delivery not a bad price. Cheers zeb
